Nate Hill Photography | About

Ever since my parents let me loose with their old Minolta, I have loved capturing beautiful scenes and moments.
I studied Photography at Monash University as part of a visual arts degree and even shot a couple of weddings at the tender age of 19...
This was all interrupted when music overwhelmed my life. Bands and teaching became my main focus, but a camera was never far away.
Over the years, I developed a love for landscape photography. Many shots were taken, many times I would go out of my way for a shot (sometimes making me late for work).
Photography was now one of my artistic expressions outside of music and work. I even had some cafe's display and sell my work...
Years later, my world was changed in the best possible way. My wife and I had a baby girl and it was our decision that I would be a stay at home dad.
This is what has led me to this point... My little girl is going to have one heck of a scrapbook. She is certainly no stranger to a camera.
I love capturing moments. I particularly love getting a shot that is a little different...

I love creating digital art. This led me to creating my ongoing 'Twisted Landscape' series that has managed to capture the imagination of a lot of people and enabled me to hold my first solo exhibition.
I love creating imagery that accompanies music. It's a world I feel like I understand having been in bands most of my life. I love making creative content that makes people stop in their tracks.

I do all of this stuff for myself and I love doing it for you too...
